long showers that last so long you lost track of the time, the whirring calm sound of the dishwasher, barnum's animal crackers, hot fluffy towels that smell fresh from the wash, crisp clean bedsheets, haircuts, pedicures, candlelit baths, watching nature happen, mango juice, looking in the mirror and liking what i see, the comfort of an old friend, talking to my mom on the phone, photos from my childhood, fresh pineapple, completing projects, chocolate, acknowledging rare silences, dancing without restraint, homemade lemonade through a straw, sassy belts, drawing on the condensation of car windows with my finger, smiling at strangers and having them smile back, getting packages in the mail, kisses, letting people know they are loved, sand inbetween my toes, the smell of gasoline at the gas station and the smell of sulfur from matches, homemade chocolate pudding, pretty smelling soaps, sliced apples, halloween, full christmas stockings, the smell of a bonfire, toasted marshmallows, crickets chirping, the sound of a lawnmower and the smell of freshly cut grass, the complexity and simplicity of the english language, the smell of magazine pages and crayola crayons, standing in the rain and not minding, planting seeds and watching them grow, chocolate vanilla twist soft ice-cream cones, watching the sun set or rise or both, unexpected free entertainment, polite chit-chat, when strangers hold the door for you, old ladies with style, corduroy pants in the winter, apple cider,
